Leyland Leopard

Southdown started a 21 year association with the Leyland Leopard chassis in 1961 with several different body builders supplying a mixture of touring coaches and service buses. The company was very well known for its luxurious 'land cruises' and an overall good standard of coach provision. This continued into the NBC era. The saloon bus version of the 36' long Leopard was the first choice single-decker from 1963 - 1968 and a total of 135 were delivered during this period.
