Bristol VR

The Bristol VR first appeared in the Southdown fleet in 1969 - a batch of 10 ordered by the Brighton Hove and District Omnibus Co. prior to acquisition - the first rear-engine double-deckers to be received. The last arrived in 1981 and of course by then the Bristol VR/ECW combination was more numerous than the ubiquitous 'Queen Mary' Leyland Titan.
